How do I use Cake Pricer in my business?
Cake Pricer is a stand-alone pricing spreadsheet intended to be used exclusively for quoting to customers.
Many companies use Quickbooks or an equivalent accounting software that keeps track of their leads, customers, quotes, and orders. This spreadsheet allows pricing to be produced that can be entered as line items in those types of programs.
Customers often want several different pricing options before settling on a particular design and final price. Using this spreadsheet to figure different pricing options and sending those options through email or Facebook keeps the official accounting program from getting cluttered with unnecessary quotes and “customers” that never actually order anything.
Home bakers that do not use accounting software, but keep track of their customers on other spreadsheets can still use this spreadsheet to figure out specific pricing and keep track of their customers, etc. in their usual manner.
Future versions of Cake Pricer may include more functionality for keeping track of customers and orders, but for now those options are not included.
I do not know anything about using Excel spreadsheets. Can I still use this spreadsheet?
Yes! Cake Pricer was created assuming a basic knowledge of Excel, but the functionality is very straightforward and can be easily learned. Plus, a detailed User Manual (Help file) is included that shows how to use everything in the spreadsheet.
Is Cake Pricer hard to customize?
Not at all, but it does take some time to add all of your personalized information.
While you can evaluate the product without adding all of your own information, it is recommended that you add a couple of your own recipes to get an idea how it works.
Cake Pricer comes pre-loaded with the following items (all with generic US pricing):
- Basic Ingredients
- Sample recipes for cake, filling, icing, fondant, and simple syrup
- Standard pan sizes and batter amounts
- Popular types of support systems
- Different cake box and cupcake box sizes
- Different sizes of cake dummies
- Additional items, such as icing colors, disposable gloves, and much more!
All of the above items can changed, deleted, or updated with YOUR pricing. You may also add more items in each section.
Is Cake Pricer a standalone program or do I need other software for it to work?
Cake Pricer is a spreadsheet that requires Microsoft Excel to run. It is downloaded as a .exe application that installs on your computer. The spreadsheet can only be opened inside the downloaded application.
Can I use the spreadsheet on a MAC?
Excel for MAC is not as full-featured as the version for the PC, but Windows programs can be used on a MAC via Desktop Parallels (https://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/) or Bootcamp (https://support.apple.com/boot-camp/).
Can I use Cake Pricer on my tablet or phone?
Currently Cake Pricer runs only on a desktop computer. Some of the functionality is not supported on the tablet versions of Excel.
I live outside the United States. Can I use your spreadsheet?
Yes! Cake Pricer includes both US, Metric and Imperial measurements and conversions. In addition, 10 currency symbols are included. If the currency symbol you need is not included, please contact us and we can add it for you.
How much does the spreadsheet cost?
Cake Pricer Standard Edition Registered version’s retail price is $20.00.
This is a one-time fee. The registration never expires.

Try Before You Buy
A full-featured Trial edition of Cake Pricer is available for download on our website. The goal of the Trial edition is to let you try out all the features of Cake Pricer so that you can see if it works for you and ensure it meets your needs prior to making a purchase decision. We strongly recommend that all customers download, install, and test the Trial edition of Cake Pricer prior to making a purchase.
Refunds Policy Post Purchase
After a cleared payment on the purchase of Cake Pricer occurs, you will receive an email with an activation code to activate the registered edition. Because the spreadsheet is a digital medium, and we offer a free Trial period before purchase, there are no refunds after purchase. It is your responsibility to utilize the Free Trial Period to ensure that the product fits your needs. Extensions to the 14-day trial period will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact email@example.com if you need an extension.

By placing an order for Cake Pricer, you indicate that you have read this refund policy and that you agree with and fully accept the terms of this refund policy. What are the system requirements to use Cake Pricer spreadsheet?
- Microsoft Windows® 10, 8.1, 8, Windows 7, Vista, XP SP3, Server 2008, Server 2003, or higher.
- Microsoft Excel® 2019, 2016, 2013, 2010, or Office 365 with Excel. Ensure you have the latest SPs (Service Pack), updates, hotfixes installed.
- 256 MB RAM (Recommended: 512 MB RAM or greater).
Hard Disk: about 30 MB free space. More will be required for adding recipes, ingredients, and materials.
Why doesn’t my download link work?
There can be several reasons why a download link does not work. The most common reason is that the link is expired. There is an expiration date listed next to the link, in the original Order Confirmation email.
If your link is expired, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your Order Number and email address and we can reset your expiration date.
If you are getting a different error message, please send an email to email@example.com with a screenshot of the error.
Where is my Activation Code?
You should receive an email with your Activation Code as soon as your payment clears. $0.00 orders for the Trial Version send an email immediately.
If you do not see your Activation Email, please check your SPAM folder. You can add firstname.lastname@example.org to your address book to keep the emails from going to the SPAM folder.
If it is not in your SPAM folder, send an email to email@example.com com to have it sent again. You should also add support@cakepricer to your address book to ensure that you receive your reply.
Why doesn’t my Activation Code work?
≥The most common error message received for an Activation Code being rejected is “Invalid Activation Token”.
If you receive this error, please make sure that you copied the entire code from the email that you received. Your activation code is your email address-your order #. (Ex: firstname.lastname@example.org)
If you receive some other error message, please capture a screen shot of any error message that you receive and email it to email@example.com.
